Names of God to Declare in Worship

I find that declaring who God is in worship helps my worship experience.
So I thought it fit to revisit these names of God and their scriptural contexts, and share them with you.
(You might consider this post a sequel to my previous article about Ways to Praise!)

Let's Start With the Old Testament
- Jehovah Jireh: The LORD our provider (Genesis 22:14)
- Jehovah Rapha: The LORD our Healer (Exodus 15:26)
- Jehovah Nissi: The LORD our Banner (Exodus 17:15)
- Jehovah Shalom: The LORD our Peace (Judges 6:24)
- Jehovah Raah: The LORD our Shepherd (Psalms 23:1)
- Jehovah Tsidkenu: The LORD our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6)
- Jehovah Shammah: The LORD is Here (Ezekiel 48:35)
- Jehovah Sabaoth: The LORD, the God of hosts (Amos 4:13)
- Ancient of Days: Daniel 7: 9, 13, 22
- El Roi: "The God who sees me" (Genesis 16:13)
- Elohim: "Supreme One” or “Mighty One” (Genesis 1:1)
- El Elyon: God Might High, or sometimes LORD Most High is used through Scripture to refer to the LORD, Creator of heaven and earth (Psalm 57:2)
- Wonderful Counselor (Isaiah 9:6)

- Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6)
- Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)
- Ruler of Israel (Micah 5:2)
