Can God use sickness for His purpose?....Film review of High Calling Part 3!

But, in this post, I'll be sharing my review of the last in the series - High Calling Part 3...
Hope for Edward!
Edward has so far represented a carnal Christian who had everything going for him.
Eventually his house built on sand began crumbling, but God's mercy reached out to restore him.
In High Calling Part 3, we hear him literally saying that his focus is now on his ministry, as he trusts God to work out hs marital challenges.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
He even tells John his older brother, that he admires how he waited on the Lord😮
Who would've thought?! Once harshly criticised for his excess spirituality, John receives honour and affirmation from the same mouth!
Can God use sickness for His purpose?
John was forced to ask his good friend, Samson, this same question when hit with a sudden, mysterious sickness.
It would be this sickness that would set things in motion for John to be admitted to hospital.
That hospital admission eventually allowed him to meet the lady doctor he couldn't get out of his spirit.
Could she be his wife? 🤔
As it turns out, yes!
So based on this film, High Calling Part 3, God can use sickness, and he did!
As the character Samson put it, "God can do anything!"
Indeed, He can! And it was a delight to see how God finally, faithfully, answered John's prayers for leading him to his wife.
We can learn a lesson here.
As we pray diligently for God's will to be done in our lives, let us bear in mind that He can fulfill it in surprising ways!🤗
I pray we all have the discernment not to miss God's will and God's appointed time!
Conclusion
The life of the character, John, has displayed for us the principle of Psalm 1 - like a tree planted by the waters, he shall bring forth fruit in his season!
We saw clearly the tests, persecution, ridicule and rejection endured by John. But with a touch of inspiration, we also saw God exalt and honour John.
It wasn't all at once, but as the years passed, and in God's timing, God granted promotion and blessing.
I've been blessed by these films and I've watched them several times over!🤭
