Divine Connection: Connecting with the God of Possibilities

Knowing God is the most important, powerful and fulfilling thing on earth.

Knowing God should be the single most important thing in the heart and mind of every child of God.

We must all have a heart to be like our Father.

Sadly, many Christians today have a limited knowledge of God.

As a result of that, we lack the power we ought to have today in the body of Christ.

The truth is, many of us as believers don’t really know the God we say we love and serve.

Let’s face it - we all need a strengthening of our Divine connection; a Divine connection that will position us to know who God really is.

As we seek to restore and/or strengthen our connection to God, here are three facts about God to remind us that He is indeed the God of Possibilities:

God is older than the oldest

Daniel 7:9-10 speaks of God as the Ancient of Days.

In Revelation 1:8 Jesus proclaims His agelessness as the Beginning and the Ending.

Psalm 90:1-2 declares that God has been the dwelling place of His people in all generations.

God existed even before the very mountains.

He alone has been able to span the years.

He alone can be found in every age and time of human and earth existence.

No being existed before God, and no human can outlive Him.

He is indeed older than the oldest!

God is wiser than the wisest

1 Corinthians 1:27 declares God’s ability to use foolish things to confound the wise.

Psalm 136:5 and Proverbs 3:19 advise us that God used wisdom to make the heavens and the earth.

Astronomers estimate there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Our Milky Way galaxy alone has more than 250 billion stars.

So that means there are...how many stars? (Does anyone care to attempt the math?)

Yet Psalm 147:4-5 declares “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.”

God is higher than the highest

King Solomon observed that the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain God (1 Kings 8:27).

He is identified as the Most High God by Abram in Genesis 14:22 and by David in Psalm 57:2.

Abram also acknowledged God as the Possessor of Heaven and earth (Genesis 14:22).

Truly there is nothing higher than God.

Truly there is no one above Him.

He answers to no entity.

He is subject to no other.

He responds to and is controlled by nothing and no other being.

He sits on the throne of Heaven (Isaiah 66:1) - yes, the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men.

Is there any thing too hard for Me?

God posed this question to His servant Jeremiah (Jeremiah 32:27), and He is still asking us this question today.

Though there is a limitation to the strength, wisdom, ability and effort of men, He is reminding us that with Him, nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37).

When we put our trust in man, our own efforts, or in any other power, there will be limitations.

On the contrary, a man or woman who gets connected with God will see possibilities even when others see the impossible.

Such an individual will live by the declaration of Luke 18:27 - the things which are impossible with men are possible with God!
